Any issue setting VPN server replication count to 4 but only attaching 2 hosts?

We’d like to make adding additional hosts in the future as seamless as possible. Would there be any issues setting the VPN Server’s replication count to 4 but only having 2 pritunl hosts attached? My thought is in the future if we needed to expand our host count it would be as simple as attaching an additional host to the VPN server and not take an outage stopping the server to bump up the replication count.

Yes the replication count can be set to a higher number to allow adding replicas without restarting the server.
