we are facing issue with device authentication; whenever we try to connect Pritunl client on windows 10 machine we are getting failure to connect to server message but with the same user profile if we try connecting on windows 11 machine we are able to connect…. would like to understand is there any Pritunl limitation on windows 10 for the same? please share your answers at the earliest
Windows 11 requires a TPM for this reason almost all Windows 11 systems will have support for device authentication. Device authentication will still work on Windows 10 but only if the TPM is correctly configured and active. If the system is reported as not being compatible with Windows 11 the primary reason for that is Windows detected the system doesn’t have a TPM. It’s possible there is a TPM but it is disabled in the BIOS. Updating the BIOS may correct this as computer manufactures began releasing BIOS updates to enable TPMs when possible to support Windows 11.
In our setup device authentication works for windows 11 works and Device authentication doesnt work in windows 10 and win 10 pro…. we have checked TPM its configured in all our systems on wind 10, and win 11 system
still we are facing issue related to Device authentication only on system which have windows 10 and windows 10 pro installed
Request you to check and provide solution for the same
The feature is only tested for Windows 11, there could be other compatibility issues.
can u help us resolve the issue on win 10 and win 10 pro systems
The feature is intended for Windows 11, I don’t do any testing on Windows 10 anymore.
