How to assign Static VPN IP Address to VM users (Premium or Enterprise?)

Hi, I’m currently evaluating Pritunl to migrate our existing VPN infrastructure (currently using NeoRouter).

One important requirement for us is the ability to assign static VPN IP addresses to specific users — in this case, to specific virtual machines (VMs) that require static IPs for integration with monitoring tools (like Zabbix), firewall rules, and existing scripts.

We would like to know:

  1. Is it possible to configure a Static VPN IP Address for selected users (VM clients) in Pritunl?
  2. Is this feature available in the Premium license, or only in the Enterprise license?
  3. Once configured, will the VM always receive the same IP even after reconnects or server restarts?

We are planning to migrate several VMs to Pritunl and having this functionality is very important for a smooth transition.

Thanks in advance for your help and clarification!

The IP address from the VPN virtual networks are static and won’t change unless multiple devices is enabled in the server settings.

Good night, Zack

Thank you for the clarification! Just to confirm — when setting a specific static IP per user (for a VM), is this done through the “Static VPN IP Address” field in the user settings?

Our goal is to assign one specific VPN IP per VM user, so that each virtual machine always gets the same IP in the VPN network, regardless of reboots or reconnects.

Is that the correct way to configure it?

Thank you again for your help!

The IP address is assigned automatically and remains the same. It can’t be configured to a specific address.
