I’ve been using Pritunl VPN for a while now but I’ve recently encountered an issue where the client disconnects after a few minutes of usage. Initially, the connection works fine but after a short period; the client automatically disconnects without any error message & I am unable to reconnect until I restart the client or the system.
This issue happens on both Windows and Linux clients & the server logs don’t seem to indicate any issues related to the disconnections.
I’ve tried troubleshooting by updating the client to the latest version, verifying firewall settings, and checking the server’s configuration for any potential issues with timeouts or session limits. However, none of these steps seem to have resolved the problem.
I’m also using OpenVPN as the backend for Pritunl, but I’m not sure if that could be contributing to the issue. Checked https://docs.pritunl.com/docs/current-issues-Splunk documentation guide for reference .
Has anyone else encountered similar disconnection issues with Pritunl VPN? Any recommendations for how to diagnose or resolve the issue would be appreciated. I’m especially interested in whether there are any known configuration changes or tweaks that might help stabilize the connection.
