I’ve noticed that the latest versions of the Pritunl client for Windows have significantly increased in size.

The installer is now approximately 250 MB, and the installed software occupies over 560 MB of disk space. This seems unusually large for a VPN client. Could you explain why the Pritunl client software has grown so much in size in the latest versions? Are there specific features or dependencies that contribute to this increased footprint?

The installer size doubled to include the ARM components, only the components for the systems architecture are installed. The installed application size shouldn’t be changed with the introduction of the x86+ARM installers.

The application is written with Electron which has always had very large application sizes due to the design of using a Chromium web render engine.
